ABSTRACT:
Chryssi Sidiropoulou will discuss the Ontological Argument for the Existence of God arguing that the standard objections against it are mostly unsuccessful. She takes special issue with Kant’s rejection of the argument and claim that it rests on an undifferentiated notion of existence. Based on Norman Malcolm’s and O.K. Bowsma’s readings she tries to articulate a response to the standard lines of criticism taking into consideration the fundamentals of medieval ontology.
