2017 - 2018 Academic Year Fall Semester Course Registrations


The 2017-2018 Academic Year Fall Semester course registrations will begin on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10.00 am and will end on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 17.00 pm on the "Course Registration System" through SAP Portal, and it will include the add-drop period.

Vocational School and Undergraduate students will be able to register for departmental required courses, departmental electives and core courses during October 17 and 18; while they can register in all required and elective courses in their schedules during October 19 - November 9 within availability of quota.

Important information that will be helpful in course registrations are as follows.

1. Students can register for the partially conflicting courses via their advisor’s approval on condition that the rate of absenteeism does not exceed 25% within the knowledge of faculty members. If the schedule changes for these conflicting courses, the students have to send their course schedule to their advisors once more and have their approval. No petition will be accepted for the courses that cannot be added through the system.

2. Students with a GPA lower than 1.80 can select their courses of above letter grade C on the system, and register for these courses with their advisor’s approval. Students with a GPA lower than 2.80 can select their courses of above letter grade C on the system, and register for these courses with their advisor’s approval.

3. Students who would like to change the section of a course with multiple sections have to re-send the course schedules to their advisors for approval after they change their section.

4. With regards to the exceptional course registration requests other than those mentioned above, the students may submit their course registration requests (prerequisites and extra credit requests) to the relevant Faculty by evening, October 25, 2017 at the latest. Provided that the relevant Schools approve these requests, students will be able to register in the courses through SAP Portal between October 30 - November 9. Students who do not apply to the school secretariat until October 25, 2017, will not be able to register their courses on the system on the add and drop days. Petitions will not be accepted.

In order that your course registration is completed, you have to send your course schedule to advisor’s approval after you have selected all of your courses. You can learn who your advisor is through "SAP Portal / Course Registration / Send for Advisor’s Approval". You can obtain the contact information of your advisor through "WHO IS WHO (KİM KİMDİR)" section on MyŞehir.
