What is the Mentorship Adjustment Program?

The Mentorship Adjustment Program is a program designed to facilitate the integration of new undergraduate and Vocational School students to the university life at İstanbul Şehir University. Initiated as a project in the fall semester of 2015-2016, the Mentorship Program began its studies with the aim of motivating the students and reinforcing their sense of belonging during the English Preparatory School. As of the 2017-2018 Academic Year, the Mentorship Program will extend the scope of its studies and provide support for new undergraduate and Vocational School students by emphasizing the improvement of academic and social skills through increasing solidarity and experience sharing among university students on the way to becoming a ŞEHİR member.
In accordance with its foundational principles, the primary objective of the Mentorship Program is to ensure that the preparatory school students have a successful entry into university life, facilitate adaptation to education in English, and to contribute to the students' adjustment process and familiarity with the university. In addition to helping new students to register for the first year, it aims at explaining the course selection system and helping students to plan course programs and meet professors.
