ŞEHİR Students to Compete in CanSat Organized by NASA

ŞEHİR College of Engineering and Natural Sciences students will represent ŞEHİR and our country in the “CanSat” model satellite competition that will be organized by the American National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA.

As part of the project managed by ŞEHİR Mechanics R&D Club, İstanbul Şehir University College of Engineering and Natural Sciences students will represent ŞEHİR and our country in the “CanSat" model satellite competition that will be organized by the American National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA during June 9-10-11, 2017 in the Texas state of United States of America.

The project advisor for ŞEHİR's model satellite project, which will compete with projects of different universities around the world in CanSat, is Assist. Prof. Hakan Doğan. The project team consists of Emin Yücel, Faddale Demir, Baha Uluğ from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Fatih Çolakel from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

In the CanSat competition that took place in 2015, students of ŞEHİR College of Engineering and Natural Sciences ranked as the 2nd among the universities in Turkey, and as the 14th among the universities around the world.
