INVEST ISTANBUL Entrepreneurs Draw Attention in London

INVEST ISTANBUL entrepreneurs met with venture capital groups and angel investors.
INVEST ISTANBUL, supported by İstanbul Development Agency as part of the 2016 Entrepreneurship Financial Support Programme, set 20 entrepreneurs chosen among over 1000 entrepreneur candidates up with venture capital groups and business angels in London. The projects of entrepreneurs drew attention in the meeting of London Demo Day held in The House in London.

The first activity of INVEST ISTANBUL, established by ŞEHİR Technology Transfer Office (TTO) in order to introduce innovative technology and initiatives containing innovation that can be scaled abroad in the global level with the support of İstanbul Development Agency, was taken place in London, the capital city of England. London Demo Day, the first introduction day event abroad organized by a Technology Transfer Office in Turkey, was held in The House in London. The opening talk of London Demo Day participated by over 50 investors was given by Önder Mutlu Yılmaz, Director of ŞEHİR TTO on behalf of Dr. Robert Barnes. Baybars Altuntaş, President of Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), Abdurrahman Bilgiç, London Ambassador of Turkey, Leon Saunders Calvert from Thomson Reuters, Alastair Lukies, England Prime Minister Fintech Principal Consultant and Peter Cowley, chosen as business angel of the year two years in a row in England, made speech. Also, 20 Turkish entrepreneurs chosen by INVEST ISTANBUL informed about their projects.
