Born in 1970 in Istanbul, Mehmet Yalçıntaş graduated from Boğaziçi Economics and London School of Economics. He completed his master's degree in the Department of Economic Theory at Istanbul University and  has a Msc. in  Finance degree from  Koc University. Mehmet Yalçıntaş has worked as a manager in companies such as Üretmen  Factories, Emaş Endüstiyel A.Ş and Süperateş A.Ş during his business life. He is still working at Gamma Pak Sterilizasyon San. Ve Tic. A.Ş. as a chairman. Mehmet Yalçıntaş has been a board member of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD) for a while. He is a member of Boğaziçililer Association (BURA) and International Irradiation Association IIA. Mehmet Yalçıntaş is married and has two children. He speaks Turkish, English and Arabic.
