Understanding the 'Urban Landscape', formed with Higher Education and Workplaces in Turkey

The project, titled "Understanding the 'Urban Landscape', formed with Higher Education and Workplaces in Turkey", conducted by ŞEHİR Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Eda Ünlü Yücesoy, has been entitled to be supported by TÜBİTAK 1001 Program.
​​Assoc. Prof. Eda Ünlü Yücesoy, who is the lecturer in İstanbul Şehir University and the researcher in the Center for Urban Studies in the university, is conducting a project called "Understanding the ‘Urban Landscape’, formed with Higher Education and Workplaces in Turkey". The project will analysis the rapidly changing and transforming Turkish urban settlement system after 1980, along with the emergence of fields of higher education and workplaces in the current urban areas. 

It aims at identifying the building blocks affecting the hierarchies and the forms of relations in the settlement system by monitoring the influential actors in the formation of these structures together with urban/regional policy actions and tools.

In the project, Dr. Zübeyir Nişancı, the lecturer in the Sociology Department in İstanbul Şehir University College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Assoc. Prof. Alim Arlı, the board member of the Center fo​r Urban Studies and the lecturer in the same department, will be researchers.
