Ahmet Kazokoğlu

Ahmet Kazokoğlu has been working on full scale electronic fare collection projects in public transport/mass transit for over 14 years, starting as a design engineer and then as General Manager in three companies recruiting 400+ staff each. He developed, manufactured and upgraded the hardware and software platforms for the electronic smart card fare collection systems (contactless smartcards, validators, trunstiles, vending machines, data communication infrastructure, collection and clearing platform, fleet management system) for the public transport networks of Istanbul, Bursa, Kayseri, Sakarya, Gaziantep, Ankara, Kütahya, Düzce in Turkey. In all projects he was actively involved in conceptual design, engineering, procurement, testing, installation and operation of the above mentioned systems and associated administrative/financial tasks. He has experience in market research, developing business plans, criteria, analyzing and contractual documents, technical specs, schedules and coordination with suppliers, designers, manufacturers and diverse contractors. He has taught Data Networks and Communications  and is currently providing consultancy duties to governmental committees, various clients with emphasis on intelligent transportation/driver assistance systems, smart cards and ticket vending machines, e-payment HW/SW, localisation/incubation for 4G networks including software. Ahmet Kazokoğlu has BS and MS degrees from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control-Computing-Digital Electronics.
