​​​Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program enables to exchange staff and faculty members between ŞEHİR and its following partners for teaching and/or training mobility activities. This call opens for the applications to the following Erasmus+ ICM partners:

(*) Applicants who would like to apply for Beloit College must submit a proof of English proficiency, which has one of the following requirements: 
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​TOEFL iBT (internet-based​​​​): 80
  • ​​​​TOEFL pBT (paper-based): 550
  • ​​​​​IELTS: 6.5
  • ​​​​​SAT or ACT examination results
(**) Applicants who would like to apply for Wilfrid Laurier University, will be interviewed via Skype by the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts of Wilfrid Laurier University. 
(***) Please check the curriculum of these universities and get the approval of your Faculty Coordinator before applying. Failure to do so will create recognition problem upon your return.​

WHO CAN APPLY?
Full-time students of ŞEHİR can benefit from outgoing student mobility as long as they meet the below conditions and submit their applications by the deadline stated on this call:
  • ​Undergraduate students must have at least 2.50/4.00 cumulative GPA 
  • ​Students must have at least finished one academic year prior to the start of the exchange period. Students at their preparatory year are not eligible to apply for this call.
  • ​Applicants must show proof of English proficiency in the application process by submitting a valid SELT Score (min. 65/100). Please kindly note that SELT results are valid for two years only. 
  • ​The students who are at their last semester are advised not to take part in any study abroad program due to possible complications regarding late arrival of transcript and graduation requirements.

HOW TO APPLY?
Interested students should submit their on-line application through outgoing.sehir.edu.tr and upload the following documents to system: 
  • ​​​Valid SELT Result (min. 65/100) - Applicants who apply for Beloit College must submit above mentioned language results.  
  • Official transcript issued by Student Academic Affairs Office (LMS/SAP version is not acceptable) 
Step by step procedure for online application:
1) Click "Become an Applicant" at outgoing.sehir.edu.tr.
2) Once you log in the system with your Applicant Code, choose your department at the home university from the list.
3) Please choose "ICM Studies" from the menu.
4) Choose your mobility destination and click "Apply Now" button. 

SELECTION OF MOBILITY CANDIDATES
Following the application deadline, ŞEHİR Erasmus+ Commission will make the eligibility check for all the applications.
ŞEHİR Erasmus+ Commission will evaluate your application on the basis of the following criteria: 
  • ​​Academic GPA (50%)
  • Language Score (50%)
  • Departmental diversity
  • -10 for previous participation in any Erasmus' programs within current study level
  • Disadvantaged students (The statement from a doctor or other relevant authority confirming the special needs should be submitted to the International Relations Office during the application period): +10 points
  • Participation in Erasmus programme in the country of nationality: -10 points
The students who benefited from Erasmus+ (study or traineeship mobility), LLP/Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus or Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) before can also apply to this call. However students have to make sure that the total length of mobility, with or without grant, at each level (undergraduate or graduate) -no matter the type of mobility- should not exceed 12 months.

Spring semester of 2018-2019 Academic Year.

GRANTS
ICM with Grant Option:
Students may be awarded an Erasmus+ ICM grant to help cover their living expenses during their mobility period. Grant payment is subject to the amount of applications received and availability of funds from the Turkish National Agency. Please note that Erasmus grants are only contribution, meaning may not suffice for all your expenses and students are responsible for their own travelling costs and living expenses during the exchange.
In addition to the Erasmus+ ICM individual grant, selected students for Erasmus+ ICM grant receive travel support based on the distance between home university and the host university.
Amount of monthly individual grants and of the travel support based on distance between the partner institutions are announced by Turkish National Agency:

Total amount you receive is calculated on the basis of months and days you actually spend in exchange.

The grant is usually paid in two instalments:
  • ​​The first installment (80% of the total amount and total travel support) is paid within 45 days of signing the mobility grant agreement which has to be signed by student and ŞEHİR.
  • The remaining 20% is paid after the participant returns and upon proper delivery of all the required final mobility documents. This second installment will not be paid until all the required documents are submitted.
​IMPORTANT NOTE: You will not be able to receive remaining 20% of the Erasmus grant if you cannot receive satisfactory marks in 2/3 of the courses that you take at the host (partner) university.

ICM without Grant Option:
Students who are entitled to receive an Erasmus+ ICM grant may abandon their right to receiving the grant or eligible applicants may benefit from ICM study mobility through "without grant option" by answering the relevant question on the online application form or by declaring to the International Office that they want to use this right after the announcement of results.
Erasmus students -whether or not they receive an Erasmus grant- are exempted from paying fees for tuition, registration, examinations and access to laboratory and library facilities at the host institution.

Additional Grant Opportunity for Students with Special Needs:
Additional grants are available for students with special needs who wish to participate in Erasmus+ ICM programme and where participation would not be possible without extra financial support. In order to learn more about additional grant opportunities for students with special needs, please get in contact with International Relations Office.
Students with special needs may receive additional grant for their study mobility abroad. Please check our webpage for the detailed information. 

FINANCIAL ISSUES
Students will pay tuition to the home institution (ŞEHİR) and will be responsible for their own expenses including travel, accommodations, medical care, insurance and all other costs associated with attendance at the host institution.
