Dorm Application Process


Applications for the 2019 - 2020 Academic Year will be made between 25 July and 25 August 2019 by filling out the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM.​

Application Steps:
1. You can reach the Dormitory Application Form by entering your MyŞehir username and password through the link at the end of the page.
2. If you have friends (s) you want to stay in the same room, you must enter their student numbers in the relevant sections on the application screen.
3. You should be sure to save your transaction by clicking the  ''Complete my application'' button.
4. An e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address indicating that your application was successful.
5. During the application deadlines, you can access the application screen at any time, make changes to your application or cancel your application.

In your dormitory application, you can choose one or two friends to stay in the same room together. Roommate preferences must be reciprocal for your request to be taken into consideration. Roommate requests will be met by the dormitory management in accordance with the possibilities.

Dormitory applications will expire on August 25th at 17:00 and requests for residency after this date will be evaluated after all dormitory placements have been made and in case of vacancies.


​​Dormitory placement results will be announced on Thursday, August 29 at 17:00 on the "Dormitories" website.

​Dormitory placements are made considering the following priorities:
1. Full Scholarship Students (Those who have a dormitory scholarship)
2. Disabled Students
3. Students residing abroad
4. Out-of-town resident students
5. Local resident students (Regional priority)
1st District: Bağcılar, Esenler, GOP, Silivri, Çatalca, Arnavutköy, Büyükçekmece, Beylikdüzü, Avcılar, Başakşehir, Esenyurt, Küçükçekmece, Şile, Sultangazi
2nd District: Bahçelievler, Bakırköy, Bayrampaşa, Güngören, Beykoz, Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Fatih, Kâğıt-hane, Şişli, Zeytinburnu, Sancaktepe, Sarıyer, Eyüp, Çekmeköy, Sultanbeyli
3rd district: Adalar, Ataşehir, Maltepe, Pendik, Kartal, Tuzla, Kadıköy, Ümraniye, Üsküdar

Dormitory placements will be made by taking into consideration the current address (province/district) information of the students registered in MERNIS (Address Based Population Registration System). It is the responsibility of the students to keep MERNİS address information up-to-date. If there is a change of address, the residence addresses should be updated by applying to the civil registry office before the application.

Students who have the right to stay in the dormitory as a result of placement can settle into their rooms from the opening date of the dormitories making their payments and submitting the necessary documents for final registration to the dormitory administration

All rooms in the dormitories are for 3 people.

The documents required to be submitted to the dormitory administration during the final registration must be renewed every year.​

Dorm room fees will be paid on a term basis.

The placement of students who have not paid their semester dormitory within the announced dates will be canceled. Students whose room placement is therefore canceled (as the relevant room will be allocated to another student) will be required to reapply for the dormitory application.

Full scholarship students who enrolled in 2015 and later, for those who are within the first 5000 in Turkey based on the point type regarding the program, have dormitory scholarship. ( for 9 months)

The final registration of the room placement students will be done by handing the payment receipt and other required documents to the dormitory administration and signing the written dormitory contract.

Entrance and placement of students will begin on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
