The ŞEHİR Library has one of the largest and richest document archives in Turkey. Within the archives listed below, there are over 500.000 documents, over 15.000 negative films, approximately 1.500 glass negatives, and approximately 3.000 manuscripts and rare prints. Our archives serve as a social laboratory for our students and researchers from various departments, particularly History, Turkish Language and Literature, Sociology, Cinema and Television, and Political Science and International Relations. In addition to these sources, 111.417 books in the Library of the Foundation for Sciences and Arts, the founding foundation of our university, are available for ŞEHİR members in accordance with the protocol signed by the two institutions.
