Ahmet Enes AKINCI

Ahmet Enes Akıncı who is currently an undergraduate student at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at İstanbul Şehir University has started to work as a student assistant at the Center for Modern Turkish Studies since September 2018. Akıncı has a good command of English. Also, Akıncı knows Spanish at intermediate and Arabic at beginner level. His study areas of interests are diplomacy and UK Foreign Policy.



Aybüke ÇALIŞKAN

She graduated from İstanbul Prof. Dr. Mümtaz Turhan Social Sciences High School by completing the International Baccalaureate Programme. Çalışkan graduating from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Department of International Relations is currently doing a MA at İstanbul Şehir University in Modern Turkish Studies Department. Since the age of 15, she has been working as a volunteer in the Turkish Red Crescent Eskişehir City Branch of Youth department. Until now, Çalışkan held more than 35 European Union projects as a coordinator, a participant or as an assistant staff. In addition, Çalışkan has been the European Voluntary Service coordinator of the Turkish Red Crescent Eskişehir City Branch since 2013. Also, she has been an award leader, a supervisor and trainer for award leaders and supervisors under The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Programme-Turkey which mainly focuses on the young people aged 14 to 24 in more than 130 countries. She is the founder of the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Traditional Turkish Archery Club, Diplomacy and Model United Nations Club.​



Bekir TURAN

Bekir Turan completed his bachelor’s degree at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Department of International Relations. Turan who is a graduate student at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at İstanbul Şehir University  has worked as a teaching assistant at the Center for Modern Turkish Studies. His study areas of interests mainly focus on Balkan Studies, Turkish Foreign Policy toward the Balkans, EU-Balkans relations and NGO’s.



Bilal Burak AKDOĞAN

Bilal Burak Akdoğan completed his bachelor’s degree at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Department of International Relations. He is a graduate student at the Department of Modern Turkish Studies at İstanbul Şehir University and a teaching assistant at the Center for Modern Turkish Studies. His study areas of interests mainly include Diplomacy based on Cultural Diplomacy, Turkish Foreign Policy, and Political History.



Cevdet Yavuz ÖZTÜRK

Cevdet Yavuz Öztürk is currently continuing his bachelor studies in Political Sciences and International Relations at İstanbul Şehir University. He also works at International Relations Office of the İstanbul Şehir University. Öztürk has a good command of Arabic and English and knows French at an elementary level. Middle Eastern Studies is his main academic interest.



Cihat ŞANLIER

Cihat Şanlıer, who is currently a junior undergraduate student at the Department of Political Science and International Realtions at İstanbul Şehir University, has done a double major in Psychology and a minor in Industrial Engineering. Şanlıer, a student assistant at the Center for Modern Turkish Studies, has conducted his project titled "Turkey-Israel Relations in the Era of Ehud Olmert: Shalom Newspaper". Şanlıer is interested in the fields of Political Psychology and Political Sociology.



Elif Nisa SADIKOĞLU
Elif Nisa Sadıkoğlu is a junior undergraduate at İstanbul Şehir University, Department of Political Science and International Relations (English). Sadıkoğlu, who has involved in the team of Center Modern Turkish Studies, has conducted her project titled "The Interpretation of EU Accession Process through Agos Newspaper: 2003-2007". Sadıkoğlu, who has a good command of English, knows Spanish at beginner level. Sadıkoğlu is interested in Chinese Foreign Policy and international organizations. 



Özge KELEŞ
Özge Keleş, who graduated from Russian Language and Literature, İstanbul University, is currently a graduate student at Metropolitan University Prague, Department of International Relations and European Studies. She has worked as an executive assistant under Erasmus+traineeship program at the Center for Modern Turkish Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she studied Slavonic Studies at Masaryk University under Erasmus program. In addition, she received education at Russian language course at Belarusian State University for one term. Keleş has worked as a freelance translator. Her study areas of interests mainly include history, literature, politics and social transformation in Russia, Turkish-Russian relations, European Union: Institutional and Legal Framework and Policies.​
