İstanbul Workplaces 1900-2011: Change and Continuity in the Structure and Composition of Metropolitan Center Workplace

​This study aims to investigate the economic and spatial differentiation described as shifts over the years, the sectoral associations that constitute the building blocks of the economic structure of the city, which have not yet been documented or partially revealed and constitute the economic and spatial transformation and continuity and to define economic and spatial transformation processes by following the policies, actions and tools that constitute these processes and while doin these it examines the 20th century İstanbul trade geography by a new approach and method. In the study, the characteristics of business landscape of İstanbul Center Workplace, activity combinations, spatial patterns in change and transformation and the effect of this in shaping of the city have been investigated in four historiographic periods through relational approach.​
