- The maximum duration of study in the programs without thesis option is three semesters.
- You are required to complete at least 90 ECTS to graduate from the programs without thesis option.

The following program requirements must be completed to earn a MS degree:
• Complete ENGR 500 Research Methods in Natural Sciences course. ( This course is compulsory for students registered on Fall 2016 or later)
• Complete nine (9) technical elective courses, which are recommended by your academic advisor. (For students registered on Fall 2016 or later)
• Complete ten (10) technical elective courses, which are recommended by your academic advisor. (For students registered before Fall 2016)
• Register for the graduate seminar course ENGR 591, compulsory and non-credit. Students should attend at least 80% of the seminars.
• Prepare, submit and successfully defend a project in ECE 595 course under the supervision of an adviser.

*With the approval of the academic advisor, students may take coursesfrom other graduate programs at İstanbul Şehir University or otheruniversities.
*With the approval of the academic advisor, students may take ECE 592 (ECE 592A Independent Study I) and ECE 593 (ECE 592B - Independent study II) to complete course requirements for an MS degree.
*With the approval of the academic advisor, students may take at most two (2) senior level courses (EECS 4xx) to complete course requirements for an MS degree.
