Edmund Burke is the editor of Marshall Hodgson, Rethinking World History: Europe, Islam and World History (Cambridge, 1993), which has been translated into Turkish. Some of Burke’s other books include: The Ethnographic State: France and Moroccan Islam (Berkeley: University of California Press, 2014), Genealogies of Orientalism: History, Theory, Politics (University of Nebraska Press, 2008), and (with David Yaghoubian) Struggle and Survival in the Modern Middle East (California, 2006).
