​​​​Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program enables to exchange staff and faculty members between ŞEHİR and its following partners for teaching and/or training mobility activities. This call opens for the applications to the following Erasmus+ ICM partners:​

TYPES OF MOBILITY:

  • TEACHING MOBILITY (STA): The objective of the mobility is to encourage higher education institutions to broaden and enrich the range and content of courses they offer.
  • TRAINING MOBILITY (STT): Aim of the activity is to allow the staff to learn and transfer new knowledge relevant to their field and to learn experiences and good practices of partner institution and develop practical skills required for their current job.


WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:

  • ​Full-time academic and administrative staff employed at İstanbul Şehir University can apply for staff mobility. 
  • Applicants are expected to have knowledge of sufficient foreign language to carry out the activity. 
  • For the faculty exchange, an agreement must be signed by the parties in the relevant field. Please check the list of the partners and the relevant field before submitting your application.

DURATION OF MOBILITY:

Staff mobility activities can last from 5 days to 2 months, excluding travel time. İstanbul Şehir University embraces the policy of keeping the mobility 5 business days per staff in order to allow more ŞEHİR staff to benefit from the mobility with the available grant. 
The mobilities must be completed by June 30, 2019.
​A teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND TIMINGS:
(1) Consult the Director/Manager of the Department or Dean of the Faculty/Director of the Graduate School for initial approval of your proposed mobility and absence (ensuring any teaching/work responsibilities can be covered) 
(2) Complete the Erasmus+ ICM Application Form at https://sehir-staff-out.dreamapply.com/ 

STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE APPLICATION:
1.STEP: Click "Become an Applicant" at https://sehir-staff-out.dreamapply.com/
2.STEP: Once you log in the system with your Applicant Code, please click on "ŞEHİR Staff Outgoing" on the top-left corner then click on "Select all" text box and choose either ICM Staff Training or ICM Staff Teaching from the menu.
3.STEP: Choose your teaching/training mobility destination and click "Apply Now" button. 
4.STEP: Complete the application form with the necessary information. Please ignore the Checklist Items and do not upload any documents (Invitation Letter or Teaching/Training Agreement) at the time of application. 
5.STEP: Submit your online application through the system by March 22, 2019.

SELECTION:
At the selection stage, the following selection criteria will be taken into account. In case of an equivalency, the preference will go to those who have been selected/invited by the host institution. 
1) Job experience at İstanbul Şehir University:
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​< 1 year = not eligible to apply
  • ​​1- 2 years = 1 point
  • ​​2-3 years = +3 points
  • ​​3-5 years = +5 points
  • ​​​> 5 years = +7 points
  • > 7 years = +9 points
​2) Erasmus Faculty/Department Coordinators at the time of application: +5 points
3) For each previous participation in the Erasmus Staff Mobility within KA103 (Erasmus+ Staff Exchange between the program countries): -2 points
4) For each previous participation in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility within KA107 (Erasmus+ Staff Exchange between Program and Partner Countries): -5 points
5) Members of the Department/College/Institute taking part in the Erasmus+ KA107 program for the first time: +5 points
6) Participation in Erasmus programme in the country of nationality: -10 points
7) Academic/Administrative staff who have directly contributed to the ŞEHİR Erasmus+ exchange activities by finding new Erasmus+ partners from Europe: +5 points 
8) Academic/Administrative staff who have directly contributed to the ŞEHİR Erasmus+ exchange activities by finding new international partners from non-European countries: max.+15 points (for each agreement: +5 points) 
9) Contribution to KA107 project writing process and/or relevance of the project: 0-30 points
10) Disadvantaged staff (The statement from a doctor or other relevant authority confirming the special needs should be submitted to the International Relations Office during the application period): +10 points​
11) Relatives of martyr or veteran (an official document must be uploaded to the online application system -only for Turkish applicants-)*: +10 points
*12/04/1991 tarih ve 3713 sayılı Terörle Mücadele Kanunu’nun 21. Maddesine göre "kamu görevlilerinden yurt içinde ve yurt dışında görevlerini ifa ederlerken veya sıfatları kalkmış olsa bile bu görevlerini yapmalarından dolayı terör eylemlerine muhatap olarak yaralanan, engelli hâle gelen, ölen veya öldürülenler"in eş ve çocukları ile 23 Temmuz 2016 tarih ve 667 sayılı KHK’nin 7. Maddesi uyarınca, 15/07/2016 tarihinde gerçekleştirilen darbe teşebbüsü ve terör eylemi ile bu eylemin devamı niteliğindeki eylemler sebebiyle hayatını kaybedenlerin eş ve çocukları veya malul olan siviller ile bu kişilerin eş ve çocukları Erasmus personel hareketliliğine başvurmaları halinde önceliklendirilir.

​FUNDING:
1) Individual Support for Participants: Every participant will receive a mobility grant composed of subsistence support according to the length of stay (in days). 
Outgoing staff (from ŞEHİR to the partners): EUR 160/day
2) Travel Support for Participants: Each selected individual participant will receive a travel contribution. Travel grant will be paid before the participants’ mobility period. The amounts can be found below:

ICM without Grant Option: Participants who are entitled to receive an Erasmus+ ICM grant may abandon their right to receiving the grant or eligible applicants may benefit from ICM staff mobility through "without grant option" by declaring to the International Office that they want to use this right after the announcement of results.
Additional Grant Opportunity for Staff with Special Needs: Additional grants are available for academic and administrative staff with special needs who wish to participate in Erasmus+ ICM programme and where participation would not be possible without extra financial support. In order to learn more about additional grant opportunities for staff with special needs, please get in contact with International Relations Office.​
